Quilt-cation 2017

Not only will there be classes with techniques from beginner to intermediate…. there will be activities such as: World’s Largest Round Robin (we hope!), Tea Cup Auction, Quilt Show featuring “your” quilts, Block Exchange and Pieceful Demonstrations of quilting techniques. There will be new friendships made and old friendships renewed.  Please join us!!

Three Hour Class                                                                                                                                  

Spring Crocus – Piecing by Donna Hastings                                                                                          

Level: Confident Beginner

Learn how to paper piece without the hassle of paper in the seam.  Make just one or make four to create a star pattern.  Pattern is supplied.  Precut kits are available.





Activity – World’s Largest Round Robin – Directed by Debbie Baldwin

Start out with your own block, add your chosen fabric and pass on to the next quilter to add their chosen fabric.  So on and so on, before the evening is over everyone will have a completed quilt.  Won’t you join the fun?!?!

Six Hour Classes

Castle Waves  -  taught by Jill Josephs                                                                

Level: Beginner

Size: 62.5 x 75 (before quilting)

This Pattern is a playful fat quarter friendly quilt.  Grab a stack of the fat quarters you’ve been collecting and whip up this catchy design!




Geese Migration -  taught by Debbie Baldwin                                                                                    

Level: Confident Beginner - Intermediate

Size:62 x 62

This is a wonderful scrappy quilt that although traditionally pieced, has a modern flair.  It’s a scrappy quilt for the 21st century. The pattern will be provided by the instructor.



Adirondack Landscapes -  taught by Donna Hastings                                        

 Level:  Confident Beginner

Size: 14 x 16

Create a landscape quilt using your own fabric or a precut kit.  Learn the applique and quilt as you go method.  Your choice of 2 patterns.  Patterns are provided.

Castle Stars - taught by Phyllis Acres                                                                  

 Level: Confident Beginner -  Intermediate

Size: 86.5 x 86.5

Join us at Bonnie Castle Resort to create the "Castle of Stars" Quilt.  This large (86.5") quilt will give you the feel of many stars twinkling around an island in the center.  Use only four main fabrics (plus borders) to create this stiking quilt.

 Level: Intermediate

An adorable pieced star design that gives the illusion that there might be Y seams but there are not!  Part of the latest craze, it’s a mini!!


Pocket full of Rulers – taught by Jill Josephs                                                      

 Level: Confident Beginner - Intermediate

Designed to carry a 18x24 cutting mat, rulers, rotary cutter and more!   Every quilter needs one!
